Privacy Policy

Effective date: December 17, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how Grammar.Plus (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit grammar.plus and use our online tools, including our free grammar checker.

1) Who We Are

Grammar.Plus provides an online writing tool that helps users improve English grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, and tone. We aim to offer a clean, fast, and privacy-respecting experience.

Questions or requests: [email protected] or visit https://grammar.plus/contact.

2) Information We Collect

We collect information in a few common categories:

  • Device & usage data: IP address (may be processed by our hosting/analytics providers), browser type, device type, operating system, approximate location (city/country), pages viewed, and basic interaction events (for example: which pages are visited).
  • Cookies & similar technologies: used for site functionality, analytics, and advertising (see section 6).
  • Contact form data: if you message us, we collect the information you submit (such as name/email/message) so we can respond.

We do not ask for payment information, and we do not require an account to use the tool.

3) Text You Paste Into the Tool

When you paste text into Grammar.Plus to check writing, that text is processed to generate suggestions and results. We design Grammar.Plus to be privacy-first:

  • We do not sell pasted text to third parties.
  • We do not publish your pasted text.
  • We do not intentionally store your pasted text long-term.

Note: Like most websites, temporary processing may occur in memory and server logs for performance, security, and debugging. If we ever introduce optional features that store text (for example “save history”), we will clearly disclose it and ask for your consent.

4) How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Operate and maintain Grammar.Plus (performance, stability, uptime).
  • Improve features, usability, and user experience for the free grammar checker.
  • Detect and prevent spam, abuse, fraud, and security incidents.

5) Legal Bases (GDPR-style disclosure)

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Grammar.Plus and users.
